The fellowship began with the name Dynamic Youth fellowship with Pastor Ambrose Odeh as the first Youth president in 11/August/2011 and he served till 20/April/2013. After which he was transferred to pastor the Okete Branch of the church. However, he continues to oversee activities of the fellowship until another leadership structure was put in place.

In the year 2017, a new structure was put in place to restructure the Youth Dept which comprises Sister Faith Obute as the coordinator, Brother Inalegwu Egbe as the Prayer coordinator, Sister Juliet Oteikwu as the treasurer and others.

An inaugural convention was held that year with the theme: "Joshua Generation" which change from the previous name of Dynamic Youth fellowship with the vision of raising a generation that will confront their enemies at the gate and also take over territories for Jesus.

The name of the fellowship is Joshua Generation on till date with Pastor Joseph Onah and Brother Joseph Ojeka serving as the president and vice.
